Low-top roller skate shoes are sneakers cut below the ankle with four wheels built into the sole. Press the heel button and the wheels pop out for rolling. Low-tops are lighter and look more like everyday sneakers, which is why most first-time buyers start there. Mid-tops cut higher and close around the ankle, which many riders simply prefer once they are moving, and they carry the chunkier basketball-style designs. Both use the same wheel system, so this is a question of fit and look rather than performance. Neither cut replaces protective gear.

Yes. Kick Speed sizes run from US 2.5 to US 10, roughly EU 33 to 42, and half sizes are included. That covers kids, teens, and most women. If you are between sizes, our half sizes mean you do not have to round up and hope. Measure your foot with our size guide before ordering, and note that availability varies by model.
