    LOW-TOP Roller Skate Shoes

Kick Speed™ Low-Top Roller Skate Shoes sit below the ankle, so they wear like a normal sneaker until you decide to roll. Press the heel button and four wheels drop out of the sole. Press it again and they retract, locked away, ready for walking. Nothing to carry, nothing to swap.

Low-tops are the lighter of our two silhouettes. They are the easy choice for a first pair, for warm weather, and for anyone who wants the shoe to look like a shoe when the wheels are in. Available with 7-LED or the brighter NEW LED sole that stays visible in daylight, both USB rechargeable, or in a clean no-LED finish.

Sizes run US 2.5 to 10 (EU 33 to 42), half sizes included, so kids, teens, and adults all fit the same range. Check the size guide before ordering, and read the safety guide before the first ride. Free US shipping, 90-day money-back guarantee.

Prefer more coverage around the ankle? See Mid-Top Roller Skate Shoes. Looking for the Heelys-style single-heel ride instead? That is Heel Wheel Shoes.

Everything You Need to Know About Low-Top Shoes With Wheels

Low-tops are the lighter of the two Kick Speed silhouettes. The cut stops below the ankle bone, so the shoe stays flexible and looks like a regular sneaker when the wheels are retracted. That makes them the usual first pair, the warm-weather pair, and the pair people choose when they do not want the shoe to announce itself.

The wheel mechanism is identical across our range. What changes is the upper. If you want more material around the ankle or you prefer the taller basketball-style look, see our Mid-Top Roller Skate Shoes. If you want the light-up sole, we build low-tops with LED roller skate shoes with pop-out wheels, and plainer versions without LED.

Prefer the Heelys-style single-heel glide instead of four wheels? That is a different mechanism, and you will find it under Heel Wheel Roller Shoes. Everything else lives in our full range of roller skate shoes with pop-out wheels.

Whichever cut you pick, ride on smooth dry surfaces, make sure the wheels are fully locked before rolling, and wear a helmet and pads while you are learning. Read our safety guide and size guide before your first ride.

    Low-Top Roller Skate Shoes FAQ

What are low-top roller skate shoes?

Low-top roller skate shoes are sneakers cut below the ankle with four wheels built into the sole. Press the heel button and the wheels pop out for rolling. Press again and they retract into the sole so you can walk normally. Kick Speed low-tops use the same pop-out mechanism as our mid-tops, only with a lower, lighter upper. Our how-it-works guide shows the mechanism step by step.

Should I choose low-top or mid-top roller skate shoes?

Low-tops are lighter and look more like everyday sneakers, which is why most first-time buyers start there. Mid-tops cut higher and close around the ankle, which many riders simply prefer once they are moving, and they carry the chunkier basketball-style designs. Both use the same wheel system, so this is a question of fit and look rather than performance. Neither cut replaces protective gear.

Do low-top roller skate shoes come in adult sizes?

Yes. Kick Speed sizes run from US 2.5 to US 10, roughly EU 33 to 42, and half sizes are included. That covers kids, teens, and most women. If you are between sizes, our half sizes mean you do not have to round up and hope. Measure your foot with our size guide before ordering, and note that availability varies by model.

Can you walk normally in low-top shoes with wheels?

Yes. That is the point of the pop-out system. With the wheels retracted and locked into the sole, the shoe walks like a normal sneaker, so you can wear one pair all day and roll only when you want to. There is nothing to carry, remove, or swap out. The how-it-works guide explains the lock.

Do low-top roller skate shoes have LED lights?

Some models do. Kick Speed offers two LED systems: 7-LED with seven light modes, and NEW LED, which is brighter and stays visible in daylight. Both charge over USB. Browse LED roller skate shoes with pop-out wheels, or choose a pair without LED if you want a plainer look.
