How to measure your foot

Stand on a sheet of paper, mark the back of the heel and the tip of the longest toe, then measure between the two marks in centimeters or inches. Measure both feet and use the longer one. Do not order from your usual US, EU or UK size alone, because sizing runs differently from brand to brand.

Add the allowance below to your measured foot length, then find the corresponding internal shoe length in the chart above:

  • Snug fit (more control): choose a shoe with an internal length approximately 0.5 cm (0.2 inches) longer than your foot. This provides a little extra room for your toes while keeping the fit secure.
  • Comfort fit (more room): choose a shoe with an internal length 0.5 to 1 cm (0.2 to 0.39 inches) longer than your foot. This provides additional toe room. For a growing child, make sure the shoe still fits securely and the heel does not slip.
